Party With Me!

The Obscure Biblical Character is...Elizabeth!

Luke 1:57-58
Now Elizabeth's full time came for her to be delivered, and she brought forth a son. When her neighbors and relatives heard how the Lord had shown great mercy to her, they rejoiced with her.

Elizabeth was old, probably too old to have kids. It would be a miracle for her to have children. She knew Someone that was pretty good at miracles, though.

When a miracle happened, she didn't just have a little party and then move on. Her family and friends got excited, too. Everybody rejoiced. That's how we're supposed to rejoice. It's great when one person rejoices, but when his/her friends jump in there, it gets even better.

So the next week's Obscure Biblical Character is:
-was blind and now he sees (although has nothing to do with the song)
-wrote the verse that gave birth to the song lyric "But I know Jesus and I talk to God/And I remember this from when I was young/Faith hope and love are some good things He gave us/And the greatest is love"
-told us what love is (long-suffering, kind, does not envy...)

I'm hoping that the first two song-lyric based clues didn't mess you up for finding who he is, and that the third one willl lead you right to him. He's a New Testament 'preacher'.

In His Service,
Joyce
