Isaiah 1:18
"Come now, and let us reason together,"
Says the LORD,
"Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool.

This prophesy is given about 700 years or so before Jesus is born. 700 years is a long time. 700 years ago yesterday is considered the date when shoes were made for both the left and right feet. Long time ago.

But just because this prophesy was old, doesn't mean that it wouldn't come true, because this prophesy, like all the prophesies concerning Jesus, came true.

Our sins were red, like blood, like crimson. They stuck out like a sore thumb. But they will be symbolically white, clean, like snow. The pain of these sins will be taken from us, because Jesus is going to come to Earth to do just that.

So this prophesy comes true. Our sins are forgiven, because of Jesus Christ. All prophesies from God will come true, because God will stick to His word.

In His Service,
Joyce

Response Question: Why are 'snow' and 'wool' used as 'white things' to be compared to?
