Hallelujah, by Newsboys. lyrics at http://www.lyricsdownload.com/newsboys-hallelujah-lyrics.html

We're going to try something new tonight. Because of technical difficulties, (I can't copy and paste the lyrics to here) I posted the link to the song in the title.

What verses do YOU think would fit into this song?

The song is about someone who's been changed because of God and Jesus, and then changes to talking about how we should be changed because of Him.

I think the most dramatic story in the Bible of change because of Christ is the story of Saul/Paul's conversion. He was someone who not only didn't believe Jesus was the Messiah, but he also persecuted those who did, until he had a vision of Jesus. God showed how powerful He was when He made Saul blind, until Saul went to the next town, Damascus. Ananias, a Christian in Damascus, was sent to give him back his sight. Ananais told Saul what he was there for, and Saul received the Holy Spirit and his sight.

After that, Saul preached for Christ, and wrote the epistles (now books of the Bible) Romans, 1 and 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, 1 and 2 Timothy, Titus, and Philemon by himself, Philippians and Colossians with his 'son' Timothy, and 1 and 2 Thessalonians were written by Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy. This is a sizeable chunk, especially for a guy who devoted his life to persecuting Christians. He changed that much, because he met Jesus. What a God!

The whole story is in Acts chapters 8 through 11.

It also reminds me of another song, also by Newboys, Shine. 'that would make an Eskimo renounce fur, make a vegetarian barbecue hamster'.

When Jesus comes into our lives, we are drastically changed, for the better. Let me know about those verses in the comments section!

In His Service,
Joyce
