When Did I Sin?

Jeremiah 3:2
Lift up your eyes to the desolate heights and see:
Where have you not lain with men?
By the road you have sat for them
Like an Arabian in the wilderness;
And you have polluted the land
With your harlotries and your wickedness.

So the question is: When did I sin? A lot of Christians understand what they did wrong, but others might respond to our 'we're all sinners' with a 'when did I sin?'

The answer that God has for this question is this: When didn't you sin? Think about any experience you've had since you became a Christian. Was it perfect, or were there sins that almost or did screw it up. (Response Question: Story Time! Anyone want to share a story of human mistakes and divine fixing-of-mistakes?)

When I think back, I think of this blog. Impatience with other people, questioning God's Will, the list goes on. Even when we plan to do things for God, and we have the purest of intentions, our sin nature will mess it up.

However, our 'God nature' can fix it. When we screw up, we apologize for our shortcomings and ask for forgiveness, and make it up to the person if necessary. Remember, God works all things to His glory. That doesn't mean that our sin is okay, but He'll take care of it if we ask Him to.

When didn't we sin? Never, we always sinned. However God is merciful and willing to forgive us of our sins (John 3:16).

In His Service,
Joyce
