Every Tear

Revelation 21:4-5
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

Good morning/afternoon/evening!

So these two verses are quoted a lot. When Jesus comes again, it'll be Heaven on Earth, right? And God will wipe away all of our tears. There won't be death, sadness, crying, or pain, because all of those things will have gone away.

It's an amazing God we serve. Death, sadness, crying, and pain came into the world with man's sin. We caused it. And now He's taking those bad things away, because He is good.

This past week has been very stressful for me, due to a classmate's death last weekend. But God will one day wipe away all the tears we shed for her, and all the sadness we have for her.

The second verse: God makes all things new. He can renew all things. What are all things? Our hearts, our minds, our souls?

These two things kind of go together. God will wipe away our tears, and take away death, sadness, crying, and pain. And He makes all things new. So not only will He take away the things of this world, He'll make us as if new, so there's no hope to have to worry about them. Praise God!

In His Service,
Joyce

What in us does God make new a lot?
