Take Me Higher

Take Me Higher, by Lincoln Brewster

Take not Your Spirit from me
For my one desire is to be with You
Come cleanse my life and make me pure
Won't You wrap me up in Your arms and

John 16:7-11 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

Take me higher and draw me closer
And pull me deeper than I've ever been

Psalm 30:1 I will extol You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up, and have not let my foes rejoice over me.

Hide not Your face from me Lord set my spirit free
For my one desire is to be with You
Come cleanse my life and make me pure
Won't You wrap me up in Your arms and

Titus 2:14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

Take me higher and draw me closer
And pull me deeper than I've ever been
Take me higher and draw me closer
And pull me deeper than I've ever been

Take me higher
Won't You draw me closer
Take me higher than I've ever been

Next to You is where I wanna be
Take me higher than I've ever been
Take not Your Spirit from me
Take me
Take me higher than I've ever been before

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

Take me higher and draw me closer
And pull me deeper than I've ever been
Take me higher and draw me closer
And pull me deeper than I've ever been

Good morning/afternoon/evening!

So this song is by Lincoln Brewster. It's another praise-type song, almost like a prayer (like many praise songs). "Don't take Your Spirit from me, the only thing I want is to be with You, Lord, cleanse my life and make me pure, and wrap me in Your arms."

Make sure you get those votes in for the Obscure Biblical Character. I'll try to find a way to put a link to that post on the question or below it somewhere, but for now just click on Older Posts and then scroll down to find Thursday's. Supposedly, the way I have the home page set up now will make it faster to load, and, I hope, easier to navigate and find important things, like the Statement of Faith.

As always, if you have any suggestions for a Bible Study, or an idea for a theme night (like Song Night, which is what this is), email them to me at rocktalk951@gmail.com

Are there any other verses that could be used for this song that I forgot or left out? I did leave a few spaces open for this.
